Good Shepherd Sunday

Today is known as Good Shepherd Sunday and is a day of prayer for vocations to the
priesthood.

Jesus has told us: “The harvest is great but the workers are few. Pray therefore for the Lord of the harvest to send workers” (Luke 10:2).

We are facing a great shortage of priests in the United States. Without priests, parishes will not have Mass. It is vital that we pray and work to encourage young men to consider the invitation of Christ to serve the church as priests.
