2009 Archdiocesan Annual Appeal: Together in Mission

I wish to thank those who have turned in pledge cards either last Sunday at Mass or at the office. We have made a good start to this year’s Together in Mission but we have some distance yet to go to reach our parish goal of $40,093.

I ask those who have not participated to complete the pledge card as soon as possible. The pledge envelopes are in the pews. The annual appeal provides vital funds for financially struggling parishes and schools in our Archdiocese, including St. Bernard School. Please be a part of this great work of charity and sharing.

God bless you.

2009 Archdiocesan Annual Appeal: Together in Mission

This is Commitment Weekend. I urge all wage earners and households to participate with a generous pledge or donation. All funds go to assist parishes and Catholic schools in low income areas of our archdiocese to continue their ministry and mission.

Every parish is obliged to participate and is given an assessment which is 10 percent of the parish income for the previous year. Our parish goal or assessment for this year is $40,093. St. Bernard School receives an annual subsidy of $25,000 from Together in Mission.

Please make a generous pledge today and be part of this great work of charity, love and concern.

Pledge envelopes are in the pews.

Thank you.

Religious vocation awareness

Our parish is having a religious vocation awareness event on Feb. 15.

Representatives of different religious communities and houses of formation are outside the church. Please visit and talk with them.

This fair has been arranged by our Youth Ministry Office.

2009 Archdiocesan Annual Appeal: Together in Mission

Dear Parishioners,

Once again it is the time of the year for the Annual Catholic Appeal, Together in Mission. Next weekend will be Commitment Weekend. Each parish in our archdiocese will be participating in Together in Mission. The funds collected are used exclusively to provide financial help to strugglingparishes and schools. St. Bernard School is fortunate to be one of those schools. Once again this year our school is receiving $25,000.

I ask all of you to participate to the best of your financial ability with a generous pledge. Our parish goal for this year is $40,093. With our full support I am confident we can reach this goal.

Together in Mission is an opportunity to make a difference by our generosity.

God bless you.

Thank you to the Spanish Prayer Group for the recent donation of $2,500 to the parish for maintenance and repairs.

The group meets each Friday evening in the church.
