Feast day of our parish patron, St. Bernard

Thursday of this week is the feast day of our parish patron, St. Bernard of Clairvaux (1091— 1153).

He was a Cistercian monk and founder of monasteries in Europe. He was a very prominent person in the church of the 12th century.

When this parish was established in 1924, Archbishop John J. Cantwell placed it under the patronage of St. Bernard.
